Courtney Love plans to “set the record straight” in a new tell-all book to be published by William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, the publisher announced on Thursday.
“Although Love is often associated with her deceased husband, music legend and front man of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, she has had an incredible artistic career of her own crisscrossing into music, film, popular culture and fashion,” William Morrow representative Lynn Grady said in a statement. “True to form, Love will hold nothing back in the telling of her life story.”
The book, which is as yet untitled, will also cover Courtney’s drug abuse, her tumultuous relationship with daughter Frances Bean, and her affairs with Billy Corgan and Ed Norton, CNN reports. The tell-all is expected to hit shelves sometime next fall.
"It's time for the public to hear her tell her story, as she lived it," Grady said.
Anthony Bozza, a rock biographer who has co-written memoirs by Tommy Lee, Slash, and INXS, will also work with Love.
Love, the front woman of Hole, married Kurt Kobain in 1992 and the pair welcomed daughter Frances Bean that same year. Cobain committed suicide in 1994, and Courtney has gone on to become what Rolling Stone calls "the most controversial woman in the history of rock."
