It’s a sad day when the eating disorders that are already recognized aren’t enough – a new one has evolved, one that describes women who order huge portions of food while they’re out with others, but who also dramatically restrict their eating while they’re by themselves. These women can now be referred to as liarexics – a term that the Daily Mail coined.

Hey ladies, looking for a job? The Mexican Pacific state of Guerrero has posted this help wanted ad for a new all-female tourist police force: Wanted: Women ages 18-26, who are at least 5-foot-5 and whose weight is proportional to that height. Must have good physical and mental health. Knowledge of English is a plus.
Professional perks include hot cop costumes. "We are designing a gorgeous uniform that can distinguish us like the police in London, for example, so that Acapulco can have an additional visual attraction to what we already have," said Ramon Almonte Borja, head of the state's public security secretariat.

As we’ve all been made painfully aware thanks to lady mags and Hollywood, wrinkles are a horrible indicator of age and something that no one should ever want or have. Now, could it be that your wrinkles are caused by weak bones? Maybe.
Researchers from the Yale School of Medicine studied 114 women in their late 40s and early 50s who were in early menopause and had never had plastic surgery.

If you’ve ever gotten dressed and wondered, “Am I too old to wear this?”, the Daily Mail can now help you out – thanks to a survey from 2,000 women, ages 18 to 65. The old saying goes, “You’re only as old as you feel,” but according to this survey, you’re only as old as you look – and when you start looking “too old” to wear a certain article of clothing, you should stop wearing said clothing. So let’s cut to the chase! When are you supposed to stop wearing all the fun stuff?

As summer approaches, you may find yourself showing off more skin than usual. Here’s some advice on what bad-skin habits you should try breaking ASAP!
First of all, in case it hasn’t been drilled into your brain yet, you need to be using a daily sunscreen on the skin that’s exposed every day! Pick makeup that offers SPF coverage for your face, and use sunscreen on your chest, ears, and hands otherwise – more if you’re doing something that leaves you more exposed, like going to the beach.
Next up: Smoking. Smoking causes wrinkles around the mouth, and can also result in a blotchier skin tone. With the wealth of other problems smoking causes, there’s no better time to quit!

New reports are now claiming that wearing leggings may make the wearer fat!
Experts are now warning that leggings can make leg muscles “lazy” and can result in flabby stomach and wobbly legs.
Physiotherapist Sammy Margo says, “Leggings feel good and look great and I am as addicted to them as anyone, but there is a downside. They hold in and support the quadriceps (thigh muscles), buttocks, and core muscles in your tummy, and do the job the muscles are supposed to do.”

Many women cannot stand to go shopping, all thanks to the ridiculous discrepancies in clothing sizes between different stores. In one store, you’re a 4. In another, a 10 – and you haven’t gained or lost one pound. Now, a handful of companies are tackling the problem of unreliable sizes. Some are pushing more informative labels, some are designing clothes to fit different body shapes, and one is even offering full body scans at shopping malls that will tell the shopper what sizes to try on among various brands.

We’ve already suspected that when people use Botox or other muscle-relaxing/freezing injectables, we might have a hard time deciphering what they’re feeling. Now, researchers at USC and Duke have compared subjects treated with Botox, Restylane, and a special gel that intensifies muscle signals. Researchers showed each group pictures of faces and asked them to identify the emotions they saw. People treated with Botox were worse at figuring out peoples’ facial emotions. Why?

A popular hair-straightening treatment, the Brazilian Blowout, is said to offer customers extremely straight, shiny, sleek hair for up to three months. But, there’s been speculation and reports that one of the ingredients in the treatment, formaldehyde, was harmful for employees who expose themselves to the chemical on a frequent basis.
Today, OSHA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, issued a hazard alert for the straightening product.

There’s a new trend hitting America – revenge surgery. The term refers to surgery women get after divorcing their husbands, in a desperate attempt to “get back” the years they lost while in an unhappy marriage.
One woman, whose marriage ended after 25 years, and found herself thinking, “This isn’t how the fairy tale ends. I was crying every day, and I couldn’t get out of bed.” Diana Solomon, 51, had modeled over the years, doing both catalog work and fashion shows, and decided to get some work done in order to restore her looks to what they once were.
