When one thinks of top designers, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen don’t exactly come to mind (at least to me). However, the twins who got rose to stardom after playing Michelle Tanner on ABC’s Full House took home the biggest prize at the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards – Top Womenswear Designers!

"I'd like to thank you -- you," Mary-Kate, 25, said to her twin at the New York awards ceremony last week.

While the Oscars and Emmys are a great place to spot elegant gowns and high-profile looks, fashion lovers have a new show to check out - The Council of Fashion Designers annual CFDA Awards. For the first time ever, fans will be able to view the show, in its entirety, online. The big event airs on Style.com June 5.

“We are thrilled to be able to share American fashion’s biggest night with the public for the first time and to be working with Style.com on this incredible project,” said CFDA CEO Steven Kolb. “This is an amazing opportunity to expand our audience as we open this exclusive industry event to fashion lovers around the world."

Little black dresses don’t leave a lot of room for things like keys, credit cards, and cell phones, and dragging a purse around a party or nightclub can be a pain. That’s why two University of Washington students invented the JoeyBra – a garment that allows women to stow items in a pocket attached to the side of their bra.

“From our own personal experience, we know that women hate taking purses to dances, bars, or dance clubs,” founders Mariah Gentry and Kyle Bartlow write on JoeyBra.com. “Leaving these items at home can pose a safety risk, but with JoeyBra women will never have to worry losing or damaging their valuables again.”

In an attempt to promote healthy body images, Israel has banned underweight models from appearing in advertisements and on fashion runways. Models must also submit medical records proving they have a body mass index of at least 18.5%.

"Beautiful is not underweight, beautiful should not be anorexic," said Rachel Adato, who pushed for the bill.

Fashion Star debuted on NBC last night, and reviews of the show are a bit mixed. Some, like Entertainment Weekly’s April Daley, like the “thrill of the shopping/runway combo” and advise viewers to tune into the new fashion reality show. Critics like US Weekly, on the other hand, say the disjointed show needs a bit of altering, while the New York Daily News also thinks Fashion Star is a bit “murky.” So is it worth checking out?
