Barry knew he was different at a very early age. While he would play football with the boys, he felt more compelled to play hopscotch with the girls. Desperate to fit in with the fellas, he started dating women and eventually married Anne after feeling an instant connection. "Despite my identity crisis, I was totally attracted to Anne," he said.

However, all those years of keeping his secret was killing him, so he confessed that he would wear Anne's clothes when she wasn't home and she was furious. "The first time I saw [him] wearing a dress I started hacking at it with scissors," she said. However, in time, Anne realized she still loved Barry and supported him through his sex change.

Ringo Starr, the only other surviving Beatle, and Barbara Walters, a cousin of the bride, were two of the guests who attended the wedding of Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell yesterday. This makes McCartney's third marriage and Shevell's second. October 9th would have been John Lennon's 71st birthday.

They first met 20 years ago in the Hamptons but reunited in 2007 while they were both separated from their spouses. Within 12 months the couple was crazy in love.

Female-oriented video games are growing in Japan. The market is predicted to reach 20 billion yen ($261 million) in the next five years, a large leap from last year's 6 million yen. The reason is that young girls are getting addicted to "otome" games, electronic versions of romance novels.   

"When I wake up in the morning, I play these games for a while before I really get up," says Takako Suzuki, 28, an office worker. "I need to play otome games because I’m so stressed out by my nagging boss at work."

For the first time in the world, women and children were the only fans at a football game for yesterday's match up between Fenerbahçe and Manisaspor. The Turkish Football Federation decided to take the drastic measure of banning men from games which involve teams sanctioned for unruly fan behavior.

Over 45,000 ladies and their little ones packed Istanbul's Sükrü Saracoglu stadium for this historic event.
