Not only does coffee help women perform better in stressful work conditions, but the beloved caffeinated beverage also reduces a woman’s chance of stroke, a new study suggests.

Swedish researchers arrived at this conclusion after studying  approximately 35,000 women between the ages of 49 – 83 for a period of 10 years. Researchers found that women who downed at least one cup of coffee per day had a 22 – 25% lower risk of stroke than women who drank less than cup of coffee (who does that?) or no coffee at all.

"Coffee drinkers should rejoice," Sharonne Hayes, a cardiologist at the Mayo Clinic, told the Associated Press. "There really hasn't been any study that convincingly said coffee is bad. If you are drinking coffee now, you may be doing some good and you are likely not doing harm.”
